Puppu platter is 5 star. Spicy Szechuan boiling beef could've used more sichuan pepper corns (red and green) and the fish probably would've been more tender than the beef. Great inside. Friendly staff. Wonderful view.

Decided to check this place in town out upon yelp search. Restaurant has what I call a traditional Chinese restaurant setup- some round tables that people can see each other with the food in between. We tried some of the recommended foods on the menu and they were good and fresh. Price point here is somewhat higher than other Chinese restaurant in town. We appreciated that our server was attentive to us throughout! Overall, good experience and will come back next time to try more food!

Mr. Han is off the beaten path hidden behind the Red Lobster and Chase bank on Newberry road. Their dim sum lunch is some of the best you'll find! I haven't been for dinner but their cocktail menu is so classic! I definitely look forward to visiting for dinner one of these days. This is still a family run business so support local!

Han's has been a staple in Gainesville area for quite a long time. Was excited to try the many variety of traditional & western Chinese dishes. Ordered - Beef Chow Fun (3.5/5) - a bit greasy for our tasting but it was flavorful nonetheless. Some added color whether green onions or bean sprouts would've added some texture and make it less boring - Chongqing Boiled Spicy Fish (4.5/5) - Flavorful aroma with a nice touch of spice. Goes well with rice - pro tip: you could takeout and make another dish out of this with cubed tofu, glass noodles, and veggies Mr. Han is great and we'll look forward to trying other dishes.

Braised pork belly with preserved vegetables: 4 stars. It was good but I was expecting SUPERB. It was well seasoned and well cooked. Now, the preserved vegetables were a let down. To me they were not "preserved". Mr Han Special cocktail: 4 stars. It was good but not memorable. It was just rums and juices. Flame lychee: 5 stars. I love lychee and that is what you get, the fruit. BUT, the "flame" makes this desert exceptional especially since you get to "play" with it (see videos).

Mr. Han's was a great dining experience. It was very nice and had a lovely bar. I came with family, and my Dad said that Mr. Han's used to be one of his favorites in Gainesville back when he went to UF 30 years ago. I ordered the wonton soup and the combination lo mein. The portion sizes were very large, and all of us enjoyed our meals. The service was great, and they played nice jazz music. It was quite quiet but I also came on a Wednesday nice, so I'm not sure how busy it gets on weekends. The only negative thing I have to say is that we are wanted to upgrade from white rice to fried rice (expecting an upcharge), but they said that wasn't an option and we had to get an entire order of fried rice. This didn't bug me but my Dad jokingly said to take off a star for it, so I thought it was worth mentioning.
